Room With a View

I love the cabin that Cassandra lets me stay in while I'm in Montana, especially the view from my sleeping loft. I wake up in the morning to a view of the Yellowstone River with the Crazy Mountains in the background. I often spot bald eagles, white-tail deer, red fox, various ducks, white pelicans, Canada geese, and the Great Blue Heron. Sandhill Cranes are harder to spot, but I hear them calling out during the summer months.

Montana Fashion

Winter fashion in Montana includes the ubiquitous Carhardt jacket. a heavy canvas, quilted jacket that resists being ripped by barb wire and stands up against hardy outside work and the icy Montana winds. Several fashionable friends brought dinner food to Val's ranch to celebrate her birthday and Cassandra took these pictures of our fashion statement.
